A festival celebrating natural wine, in Byron Bay, with up to 80 wines to try? Say no more.
Luna Wine Store's FULL MOON natural wine fair is on this May.

Luna Wine Store is hosting Byron Bay’s first ever natural wine fair, the FULL MOON Wine Festival, on May 14. The festival will celebrate some of the best talent in Australia, featuring over 20 growers and distributors of biodynamic or organically farmed wines.

Luna Wine Store is co-owned by sommeliers Russ Berry, James Audas and Tom Sheer, and they’re leading the way for drinking with transparency. “We want to create an environment where people want to engage, learn and ask questions, as well as tasting a few wines and having a dance,” Russ says. The trio are committed to empowering drinkers through knowledge and informed choice by communicating viticultural practices and winemaking so drinkers know exactly what’s in their glass.

The FULL MOON Wine Festival is hosted by Luna Wine Store.

The FULL MOON festival will donate all profits raised on the day to the Koori Mail’s 'Rebuild Fund' in support of the recent Northern River floods. Guests can attend a two hour tasting session, from 12–2pm or 3–5pm, which includes tasting two to four wines from each of the 20 producers and a branded wine glass. Over the two hours ticket holders will be exposed to up to 80 natural wines.

The line up of producers includes Owen Latta, Jarred Dixon of Jilly Wine Co, Tim and Monique from the Adelaide Hills’ Manon wines, Das Juice, Chateau Acid, celebrated chef Dave Verheul's Saison Vermouth, and Lo-Fi Wines who will showcase a collection of local and international producers with a focus on low-intervention.

The bar will be serving rare varietals from 12–10pm, local DJ duo In The Flowers will perform in the garden from 5.30pm, while DJ Charlie Chux will takeover the indoor decks. Pizza by Milk & Honey will also be available for purchase.

FULL MOON will be held on May 14 at Secret Garden in Byron Bay, tickets are $65 per person, you can purchase tickets here
