Freshy Bay Wines is owned by Colin and Judy Evans, its establishment part of a winding down process from their prior professional careers. In 2000 they planted 2ha of shiraz and produced five vintages from ?03 to ?07 inclusive, which enjoyed show success and critical acclaim. Finding the responsibility of caring for the vineyard too onerous, it was sold, and the business now operates as a virtual winery, chardonnay being purchased from growers in the Margaret River region.
