Our Review
While the brand presence and awareness were certainly not diminished under corporate ownership, there is no denying that the transition back to local ownership (thanks to the Drummond, Thickens and McLeod families) in December ’22 has propelled this historic producer to new heights. With the meticulous and ebullient Julian Grounds at the helm of winemaking and stewardship of over 90ha of vines, the future feels sure-footed. Hopes for the reimagining of the regional stronghold were realised by the release of the first vintage under these changes; a fine wine project, but more importantly, a flag bearer for Merricks as a subregion and its potential. The Reserve Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are benchmark expressions. -KATRINA BUTLER

The cellar door is open 7 days. No bookings required. Please check the website for seasonal events.
Cellar Door Through to December 24 we are open Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 5pm, last tastings start at 4pm.
From December 27 until January 4 we are open everyday (except New Years Day) from 11am - 7pm (Please note that we are closing at 5pm New Years Eve).
From January 5 until February 1 we are open everyday 11am - 5pm. (Closed Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day , New Years Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day)
