Dexter Wines

Victoria | Mornington Peninsula | Bunurong/BoonWurrung Land

Our Review

Much has occurred at the Mornington Peninsula mainstay since the first vines were established by Tod Dexter in ’87. Today, with 47 years of winemaking (39 of these completed in the region for pinnacle producers Stonier, Yabby Lake and Pt Leo) under his belt, together with his wife Debbie and daughter-in-law Jess Clark (ex-Giant Steps), the focus remains on crafting only quality pinot noir and chardonnay. At the apex of the portfolio is the Black Label range, which dials in on both the layers of concentration and complexity of variety and site. The wines from this family-owned address are a sure-fire bet. -KATRINA BUTLER
