Our Review
Southwood Wines is a boutique producer located on a 7ha slice of south-east Tasmania, in the hamlet of Kellevie. The vineyard, a slither of 0.5ha, was planted in ’20 to 4 clones of pinot noir. While estate-grown wines are yet to be released, Southwood produces an impressive selection of pinot noir from grapes sourced from the Derwent and Coal River valleys. These detailed, complex and purely fruited wines are a welcome addition to the pantheon of Tasmanian wine. -DAVE BROOKES
