Our Review
Mérite Wines was the end of Mike Kloak and Colleen Miller’s protracted search for high-quality viticultural land, with a particular focus on the production of merlot. However, it’s not a case of all eggs in the same basket; malbec, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz have also been planted. It was not until ’13 that the first small amount of wine was made (most of the grapes were, and will continue to be, sold to other winemakers). -JAMES HALLIDAY
