Ponting

The Ponting label is a collaboration between winemaker Ben Riggs, former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting and wine marketer extraordinaire David Krenich. A tensile chardonnay and a pinot noir, hewn of cooler-climate Tasmanian fruit as an homage to the cricketing Taswegian’s involvement, are exceptions to the South Australian sourcing pervasive across the lineup: an Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc, a McLaren Vale shiraz, a Langhorne Creek cabernet and at the pointy end, the Ponting 366 cuvée. -NED GOODWIN MW
