Tony Walker spent 6 years as winemaker at Fox Creek, after 2 previous vintages in Beaujolais and Languedoc. He founded Minnow Creek in 2005, not with any fanfare of (marketing) trumpets, but simply to make very good wines that reflected their place and their variety, the Lopresti family providing many of the grapes for the best red wines of Minnow Creek. After 20 years, Minnow closed for good in '25. -JAMES HALLIDAY
