Ben Murray doesn’t exist, but owners Dan Eggleton and Craig Thompson do. Each has years of experience in various facets of the wine business. Dan brings 25 years working for businesses ranging from major corporates to boutique enterprises. Craig brings a 1ha old-vine grenache vineyard at Lyndoch into the venture, plus experience as a wine importer. -JAMES HALLIDAY
Specialities
Grenache, riesling, shiraz, mataro, Italian inspired blends such as vermentino / verdicchio, a groovy rose of mixed field blended grapes such as graciano, lagrein, sagrantino, primitivo will intrigue and delight.
Cellar Door
Information
Tastings with Dan the winemaker and Co Owner can be done by appointment only, in the winery. We can take groups. The experience you will receive from Dan, telling his story and that of the Ben Murray Wines creation and processes, is something not to miss.
Bookings and a driver are required. Dan is a notorious heavy pour, and lives on site so will not be driving after your tasing! Mind the dog Violet, she doesn't see too many people, bark is worse than bite (she wont bite) and then sleeps on your feet!
For food, we don't have a restaurant but you are welcome to bring your own (and bring something for Dan!)
