Ron Ritchie has ventured far to the west to establish Villacoola Vineyard and Winery its nearest neighbour is Romavilla (at Roma), 78km to the north. The 2.5ha vineyard is planted to sauvignon blanc, semillon, chardonnay, merlot, shiraz and muscat; the muscats provide the fortified wines for which Romavilla has been famous for 140 years.
