Skew Wines

Andrew Ewart's involvement in wine dates back 40 years, covering South Africa, the US and NZ, but always making Australia home. A multi-decade career in research/academia has covered scientific advances in both the winery and the vineyard, over-qualifying him for his role as head of a still small family wine business which started even smaller - wine for family consumption. Son Simon describes himself as a trainee winemaker, his wife Kylie (a lawyer) describes herself as breadwinner and taster. The portfolio is currently an Eden Valley Riesling, a Bordeaux blend from a single vineyard in the Fleurieu Peninsula and a McLaren Vale Grenache. -JAMES HALLIDAY
