Nashdale Lane Wines

New South Wales | Orange

Our Review

Nashdale Lane began as a dream following Nick and Tanya Segger’s brief working holiday on a tiny vineyard in Tuscany in '94, setting in motion a long search for a suitable patch of their own. The dream became reality in '01 with the purchase of an 18yo vineyard in Orange. At first the winemaking was contracted out, but these days Nick and Tanya are hands-on in both the winery and cellar door, the latter set up in a refurbished apple packing shed on the property. The organically managed vineyard is planted to chardonnay, shiraz, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc, with smaller amounts of riesling, pinot noir, tempranillo and arneis. An old apple shed has been converted to a cellar door and visitors to Nashdale Lane can stay in luxury cabins set among the vines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
