Jamieson Estate

New South Wales | Mudgee

Our Review

Generations of the Jamieson family have been graziers in the region for 150 years, and were able to select 100ha of the most suitable soil from their property on which to establish their vineyard. Beginning in 1998, they planted 89ha of vines, selling the grapes to leading wineries in the region. When the buyers did not renew their contracts, they removed 79ha of vines (leaving 10ha of shiraz), and are now producing small quantities of Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Exports to Taiwan and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
