Lambs Valley Wines

David and Clare MacDougal are the custodians of Lambs Valley Wines, a 2.5ha site planted to chardonnay in the Hunter Valley, that they make still and sparkling wine from. They see their vines as an extension of their home garden, welcoming family and friends to help pick the grapes – alongside their three boys, Lachlan, Callum and Stuart – each harvest time. It’s very much a farming lifestyle for the MacDougals, and they have forged strong relationships with other local growers, making pinot noir and shiraz with Hilltops and Tumbarumba fruit. -KATRINA BUTLER
