Here are 18 must-try wines from Dave Brookes' trip down south. Add them to your list.

Last month, Halliday Tasting Team member Dave Brookes visited the Apple Isle to taste wines for the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion (which will be out in August next year!). He reviewed over 200 wines across the week, including those from the Tamar Valley, Pipers River and East Coast, to the Coal River Valley, Derwent Valley and more.

With so many new reviews, it can be hard to know where to begin, so here we've pulled out 18 wines for you to discover now. Rated between 90 and 96 points, the wines represent a snapshot of everything Tassie does well – think sparkling, chardonnay and pinot noir – with a smattering of other varieties to round out the list. Riesling and gamay, anyone?

Priced between $33 and $110, these wines are ready for you to shop now.
